Home Services Eucharist
Eucharist

The Eucharist is our main Sunday Service week by week and begins at 11 am. The word 'Eucharist' comes from the Greek language and means 'Thanksgiving'. So in the Service we give thanks to God for giving us Jesus, for the love He shows us and for the friendship of one another.

The Eucharist is a 'communion' Service where we find ourselves in communion with God and with one another. We listen to and receive Jesus in the Word - from the Bible and in the Sermon. We receive Jesus in the bread and wine that we receive in the family meal. If you are in good communion with your church you are welcome to come and receive the bread and wine with us. If you are not yet 'confirmed' you are welcome to come and receive a blessing at the altar with everyone else.
