Details of All Saints Services

The Eucharist is our main Sunday Service week by week and begins at 11 am. The word 'Eucharist' comes from the Greek language and means 'Thanksgiving'. So in the Service we give thanks to God for giving us Jesus, for the love He shows us and for the friendship of one another.
The Eucharist is a 'communion' Service where we find ourselves in communion with God and with one another. We listen to and receive Jesus in the Word - from the Bible and in the Sermon. We receive Jesus in the bread and wine that we receive in the family meal. If you are in good communion with your church you are welcome to come and receive the bread and wine with us. If you are not yet 'confirmed' you are welcome to come and receive a blessing at the altar with everyone else.

We hold a Family Service on the first Sunday of each month. This is a more informal service and is child and family centred. It is not a communion service, but we still listen to a Bible reading and we pray together. Sometimes the Sunday School offer an item for the congregation.
The service begins at 11 am; but it is not held during August (school holidays) and there is some variation as to when the Family Service is during March/April, due to Mothering Sunday and Easter.

Compline is a service taken from the monastic life and is the Service that ends the day in the community. We use the Service at All Saints as a way of being more reflective, meditative and silent when compared with our other services.
The service is held most Sundays at 6 pm.
The service is a said service, with a Bible reading and time to reflect on the reading and finishes with prayer. |
