Easter All Age Service

Easter Day Family Service and the vicar’s all in black sporting dark shades with “Shocking Pink” frames. You had to be there!

When it came to the “Talk” part of the service, Richard and Steve Cannon appeared at the front of the church in long black robes and shades, albeit Richard’s were girly punk (sorry) PINK framed. “Ah! A Blues Brothers’ routine,” I thought. “Or a Stevie Wonder Look-Alike Competition!” But no! We witnessed a previously hidden view of Richard’s altar (sorry again) ALTER ego - - looking for bovver and heading for an ASBO, were it not for Steve’s restraining influence. The dialogue which followed was hugely entertaining and presented The Easter Story in a humorous but informative way, reminding us of God’s overwhelming love for mankind in sacrificing His Son.
