Maunday Thursday - Eucharist and Stripping the Altar

This was an atmospheric service which included opportunities to be annointed with oil and/or to have one's feet washed. Whilst the altar was stripped, the congregation was invited to move to the Lady Chapel at the side of the church where a reflective vigil was kept. A series of sympathetic pictures to view on screen and the singing of Taize chants helped to evoke the mood of the Garden of Gethsemane. Laura's beautiful unaccompanied solo brought our time together to a fitting close.
